The Green Backyard is a community growing project in central Peterborough. “From this urban base we have transformed a once-derelict former allotment site into a beautiful and productive green space. We promote sustainable lifestyles and raise awareness of environmental issues through practical demonstration and community involvement. With regular workdays, events and activities we bring people and communities across Peterborough together to be a bit greener, healthier and happier.”
This will be part of a bigger site event, helping to mark and celebrate The International Picnic at The Green Backyard.

Earthy Roots will be holding a stall at the The Great Sacrewell Farm and Food Festival.
The Great Sacrewell Farm & Food Fest is the perfect opportunity to connect with farmers & local artisans – everyone dedicated to producing and preparing unique, delicious, and wholesome local foods.
Celebrity chefs including Parveen Ashraf, Kwoklyn Wan, Simon Spooner and Chef James as well as local food champions will be showcasing their wares and food tips in the live cooking theatre.
Alongside will be vibrant local arts & craft stalls, flour and bread making in the 18th Century Grade 2 water mill and all the activities that Sacrewell farm offers.
So bring the family. Bring your friends. Bring your appetite!
Earthy Roots Ltd. is a natural food and cosmetics manufacturer located in Peterborough, UK. We currently have hives located at three different sites across Cambridgeshire, spanning from Peterborough to Huntingdon.
Our first brand has been developed from our passion for beekeeping. We have been beekeeping for 10 years and have gained knowledge, experience and expanded the operation from an enjoyable pastime to a successful business.
This is our range of natural cosmetic products, initially developed under the bees brand we wanted to develop a range of 100% Natural Beeswax Lip Balms. This soon expanded to cover other ranges such as body bars and massage bars.

This is our homemade range of preserves, chutneys, jams and pickles. Developed in house using only natural ingredients. We will be launching our Jars products very soon, keep updated on our social media profiles.
